Hi,

I don’t really know. I don’t see any JavaScript errors in the console.

Could it be the settings have changed? By default only the timeout and honeypot filters are enabled. There are also optional spamfilters, like Ajax and Webgl, but they are not reliable in my experience.

There is no log for the login form. There is a log for the contact form. If you send in a message through the contact form, if you have one, does it get listed under Settings > La Sentinelle log?

Hi,

Thanks for answer. Look strange because I changed my Administrator ID, reactivate La Sentinelle and I’m again blocked when try to connect, see screenshot below. I tried with another ID with member access only, still same blockage occurs. So, for the moment I continue to work without Le Sentinelle but stay open to any solution you can advice.

I don’t really know what is “message through the contact form”. I don’t think I have such messages but I am using “Noptin Newsletter” appli since 3 or 4 months. Could current troubles be linked with this appli which send automatic emails when new publications?

Hello, I’m trying to help in the discussion in the French WP forum and I use myself La Sentinelle from a long time. @rehve says that his IP is blocked by La Sentinelle. But I don’t see in the plugin’s description anything about IP blocking. Is it possible ?

Yes, you are correct. Sorry for not clearing that up.

This plugin doesn’t use your ID, email address or anything like that. Only if you enabled stop Forum Spam, which is off by default.

This plugin runs a few JavaScript functions in a form to determine if it’s a human with a browser, or a bot that simply fills in form fields at random.

Hervé, if you want me to look at what is happening, I can only see things when the plugin is activated. Currently it’s not activated. I don’t see anything wrong currently.
My advise would be to only have the timeout and honeypot spamfilter enabled. If that doesn’t work, then maybe caching is involved.

Hi,

The fonctionnality ‘Stop firum spam’ is desactivated.

I just reactivated ‘La Sentinelle’ to allow Marcel to check the appli.

Hmm, interesting 🙂

It turns out the Javascript is not being executed correctly. The field names are not the same in the settings and in the form. Those field names are created based partly on the hostname.

I see the domain name of the website is in CAPITAL letters. Could you go to Settings > General and make them into small letters? That might make a difference.

Deare Marcel,

I followed the instruction and changed the “Adresse web du site (URL)” from capiltal letters to small letters but result is still the same : no access possible with my admin account when La Sentinelle is activated. For the moment I keep it activated in order to allow you to investigate.

I don’t remember having changed this URL and the capital letters did not troubled the access in the past. Whatever, it is now in small letters.

I see it. For some reason the fields are still not updated. I don’t understand why. The fieldnames in the html form and in JavaScript now do match, but they don’t get updated.

Maybe it’s an idea to disable all spamfilters, like honeypot and timeout, and only keep Stop Forum Spam enabled. Would that be a good idea?
