I tried to replicate the issue by installing GTranslate version 3.0.9 along with the Renovater theme, but I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem.

It’s possible that the issue is caused by a conflict with another plugin. I recommend deactivating your plugins one by one to identify which one might be causing the conflict with GTranslate.

I’m using the Gutenverse theme, specifically the Autotrics template from the official Gutenverse FSE library:

I’ve also installed GTranslate version 3.0.9, same as you mentioned.

As you suggested, I tried deactivating all plugins and reactivating them one by one. I found that the issue still persists even when only GTranslate is active — but only on single post pages. On all other pages, the language switcher (flag) appears correctly.

Here are the plugins I currently have installed:

• All-in-One WP Migration and Backup
• Call / Chat / Contact Button
• GTranslate
• Gutenverse
• Gutenverse Companion
• Gutenverse Form

Do you have any other ideas on what could be causing this?

I’ve found the issue. It seems the plugin doesn’t work when used inside a synced pattern in WordPress.

I recommend contacting Gtranslate support to have them test their plugin with a shortcode placed inside a synced pattern.

You can replicate the problem as follows:

1. Use the Twenty Twenty-Five theme (or any other FSE theme).
2. Create a synced pattern that contains the [gtranslate] shortcode.
3. Add that synced pattern to any template.
